A tall, narrow shelf in solid bamboo that stands over the toilet and gives a small bathroom the storage it never had: three open tiers for towels, baskets and the things that otherwise live on the cistern. Pale, smooth and quiet — closer to furniture than to a rack.

The three shelves are slatted bamboo and move up or down the uprights, so a tall basket or a stack of towels gets the height it needs. Two wooden pegs on the side take a hand towel or a robe. An anti-tip kit fixes the top to the wall; we recommend using it, as with any tall, narrow piece.

Will it fit? The shelf is 24.8 in wide overall and stands about 36 in clear above the floor under the lowest shelf. The inner width between the two uprights is a little less than the overall width — we are confirming the exact figure with the maker; message us and we will tell you as soon as we have it. It arrives flat-packed with the hardware and instructions and goes together with a screwdriver in about half an hour. The towels, baskets and bottles in our photos are styling only and are not included.

Slatted shelves that dry and wipe

Each shelf is a row of narrow bamboo slats in a bamboo frame, so a damp towel or a wet soap dish does not sit in a puddle — air gets through and the surface wipes dry in a pass. The shelves move up or down the uprights to fit what you keep on them. The soap dish is styling only and is not included.
