A sconce without the electrician. A slim brass-finish arm with a white fabric shade, and inside the shade a rechargeable bulb — so the lamp fixes to the wall with screws and nothing has to be wired. Beside a bed, by a mirror, along a hallway.

The remote switches it on from across the room, dims it in ten steps, and moves between warm, neutral and cool white; there is a timer, and twelve colours if an evening calls for them. The bulb lifts off its magnetic base to charge from a USB-C cable.
